Cronite/Prismalcolor Security Inks

General Capabilities

The following product listing is an example of the inks which have been or are presently being made and sold to facilities producing documents requiring overt and covert security features.

Water based intaglio implies flat die stamping.  Varnished based flat dir stamping inks are also available, but security based inks for this process are not yet popular.  However, upon special request, varnished based inks can most likely be formulated in a relatively short time with some lab work.

Offset implies both dry offset and conventional lithography.   Water sensitive inks which bleed color when wetted are only made for dry offset.

Only water based flexographic inks are sold for narrow web applications, except for photochromic inks which are solvent based,

Rotary intaglio inks are at this time oil/solvent based and are often specific for different equipment and operating conditions.

Please specify equipment type, cylinder/water or paper wipe, fountain and plate normal operating temperatures, ambient operating temperatures, method of drying if used, nominal press speed, and if ink is to overlay on a dry offset impression.  500mg presswet samples of ink that run well are often required to provide a similar or better match.
Whether it is currency, stock certificates or any other secure document you are printing,
Cronite has the solutions for your security needs.
